Bookstagram (bookish Instagram) is seriously addictive! A community full of friendly, knowledgable and like-minded bookworm – there are thousands of incredible book influencers. Bookstagram is full of bookstagram accounts all with gorgeous, creative and unique feeds. However, I wanted to share a few of my favourite bookstagram accounts with you.
What Is Bookstagram?
Bookstagram is the name of the book community on instagram and is a community that talks about books and book related topics. #bookstagram is also the hashtag used to describe all of these photos.

Why Create A Bookstagram Account?
Bookstagram is an incredibly welcoming community and full of many like minded bookworms. There are so many different niches within the community and it’s a great place for discussing your favourite books. Honestly, I’ve made so many friends on bookstagram and it’s really nice to have somewhere I can discuss my favourite books.
Joining is really straightforward. If you already have a personal instagram account – it’s really easy to set up a separate bookstagram account ( find some easy instructions here)
Bookstagram accounts you have to follow
A fellow Potterhead, Hannah has been incredibly friendly and welcoming since I joined bookstagram. She has amazing book recommendations and I’m currently hooked on the ‘A Sky without stars’ audiobook thanks to her. She also has the most aesthetically pleasing bookshelves and I’m really jealous of her funko pop collection!
Star is another bookstagrammer who has been really welcoming since I joined the platform. Star is an Australian book enthusiast and a fellow Ravenclaw. Her personality really shines through in all her captions and stories on her bookstagram account. She reads a lot of YA Contemporaries and LGBTQ+ books so if that’s your thing I’d highly recommend following her as I really trust her recommendations. She also has an amazing blog you can follow here.
Laura posts the most beautiful photos on her Instagram account. I am absolutely obsessed with her yellow theme. There is clearly so much time, detail and love put in to every photo. As well as books she also photographs her beautiful bookshelves and bookish merch. Also she has an ADORABLE dog!
Julia’s lovely book Instagram account features a mix of book reviews, cute little bookshops and photos taken around London. I find Julia very approachable and down-to earth. I’m also obsessed with her blog – and I especially love this post ‘6 Books to Read about Kindness’.
I mean firstly she has the cutest pets and an amazing mug collection so if that’s not reason to follow someone I’m not sure what is. Megan has the loveliest bright and airy feed on Instagram. She regularly posts her book reviews and I always end up wanting to read the books she recommends.
Courtney @ Nightc0urt
Please can you just look at how stunning her bookstagram account is? Courtney’s feed is so lovely and cohesive that it inspires me to step up my game. She reads a lot of YA Fantasy and mystery – she is responsible for adding many, many books to my TBR List.
What did you think of my list? These are honestly only a few and there are countless incredible book influencers on Instagram I could recommend. If you have any suggestions please let me know in the comments section below.
